Located on 140 acres in Charlottetown, the birthplace of Confederation, the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) has a rich history with roots in two founding institutions: Prince of Wales College (est. 1834) and St. Dunstan’s University (est. 1855). UPEI honours this proud legacy through a growing reputation for research innovation and academic excellence. UPEI’s four faculties (arts, education, science, and veterinary medicine) and two schools (business and nursing) offer a wide range of programs and degrees to over 4,400 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students. Home to seven Canada Research Chairs, a Canada Excellence Research Chair in Aquatic Epidemiology, eight endowed or sponsored research chairs, and five 3M Teaching Award-winners, UPEI offers its students access to over 1,100 exceptional faculty and research staff. UPEI students come from all walks of life and from local, regional, national and international locations.
In 2012, international students from over 60 countries comprised more than 12 per cent of the University’s total enrolment. With over $5.4 million in scholarships, international exchange and study opportunities, an active Student Union, expanding graduate programs and outstanding student-faculty interaction, UPEI offers its students a unique campus experience. Our alumni enjoy success in their chosen fields and are a constant reminder of the value and promise inherent in a UPEI education.

It's a Great school, The faculty and staff are genuinely caring people who will stop what they are doing simply to help you. The facilities are lovely, and open, though some of the classrooms are a little old.

I've visited this beautiful campus. It's a great schools preparing highly educated veterinary doctors. I wish all veterinarians went for their training here.

Beautiful campus to be proud of. Also one of only two universities in Canada to offer a program in veterinary medicine (the other being in Saskatchewan..where would you rather live hehe). There are great physical fitness facilities, and low cost of living.

UPEI is a great university that is small in size, so as one doesn't get lost in the shuffle. The quality of staff and programmes runed throughout the year keeps the university standard as one of the best university in North America.

A fairly good university to complete your Bachelors degree. Less distraction, small campus helps getting in touch with professors easily.
