Welcome to Cairo American College (CAC), The CAC community represents the amalgamation of different nationalities, religions, ethnicities, and education philosophies to unite around the CAC mission to Learn, Explore, and Have Fun. CAC is deeply committed to exceptional education, in a diverse and caring community. Combining the best traditions from American public, independent, and like-minded international schools, CAC has created a rich array of academic, athletic, and activity options to engage our school community at a variety of levels. Moreover, our unique family-like community school provides access to services on our campus like banking, travel planning, fitness gyms, and other facilities to ensure thorough community engagement.
CAC embraces rich traditions, yet remains nimble enough to adapt and adjust to a rapidly changing world. Our students, beyond the academic program, are shepherded through an educational process that embraces the goodness of human nature, harnessing the positive aspects of our world, to ensure that our students, teachers, and all community members are in a position to flourish.
Over the last school year CAC’s community gathered to discuss, research, and debate our path forward in the rapidly changing world. After much work, the CAC Board of Trustees approved the new strategic plan in June. Please do take the time to review the exciting and focused plan that provides focus for CAC’s future.
CAC has a rich history of establishing and maintaining programs that serve the educational needs of our diverse community. Through embracing our traditions, being conscious of the critical present, and building toward an unwritten future, CAC will enhance current and implement new programs that are innovative, ambitious, and visionary.
CAC recognizes that a community prioritizing well-being cultivates flourishing citizens. We consistently and intentionally seek to enhance relationships, foster deep and enduring engagement with learning, promote meaningful contribution to the community and develop healthy balanced individuals whose commitment to lifelong well-being makes the world around them a better place.
CAC values cultural, intellectual, and social diversity. International mindedness underpins the pursuit of authentic and inclusive actions that nurture global citizens who embrace and respect a spirit of empathy, communication, and compassion.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
After visiting most of the international schools in Egypt, if you were to compare them side by side you would see the only true international school, would be CAC. The amount of foreigners placed in this school, shows not only its prestigiousness, but the sheer competition from students from mainly, USA, Korea, and various countries throughout Europe. Notice they don't even call themselves an international school in their title, they deserve the bragging rights though. Look at all the other so called "international schools" who struggle to have 25 % of the international students we have here. You may find stricter schools, but the learning atmosphere you get in CAC is incomparable. It has AP and IB courses, no IGSCE as it is an American school. Athletics is one of the best internationally, mainly known for the JV/V Swim team, that competes in the International Schools Swimming Tournament. CAC has won around 18/19 ISSTS and is known worldwide for its excellent swimming program. Facilities are quite excellent, as the 2 new buildings, MS being only 2 years old, and ES being 4. 4 large fields, and a 25 meter swimming pool. There is also 3 large indoor gyms, and 2 basketball courts. Safety is not a matter of concern as CAC is protected by many police cars, and guards, as well as our own security in and out, surrounding the whole campus. If you want to get into CAC as an Egyptian, this may be extremely tough. They are extremely selective nowadays, and are strict about their 50% American policy, as they don't want the school to turn into another "AIS" But if your a foreigner, arms are wide open. Keep in mind it is well known that CAC offers the best quality education you will find in Egypt, and one of the best in the middle east. If you are truly looking for the best of the best, this is the one for you. Keep in mind tuition fees are quite high, around $25,000, but if that is not an issue, take no further thought on which school your child should attend.
