As the worlds of technology, science, and information explode around us, we are committed to arming all our students with competence: a competence that is derived from a combination of knowledge and strength of character. Mastery of skills alone will not be enough to excel in the coming age. Students will need to make informed decisions and be self-directed learners and thinkers if they are going to succeed in the modern global society.

In addition to this important preparation, we are also committed to preserving our Middle Eastern ethic, culture, and religions. This is a formidable task. At NAIS, we meet this challenge with vigor, determination, and hope. NAIS began admitting students in 1994. We now enroll more than 880 students from KG to 12 th grade.
Our first group of seniors graduated in 1996. These pioneering graduates were admitted to both private and public universities in Egypt and abroad.

Nefertari International School provides its students with challenging programs of international education while maintaining their cultural identity as Egyptians. NIS strives to create a disciplined, safe, happy and caring atmosphere that encourages students to be responsible, confident, compassionate, and well informed citizens who contribute to their local and international community. Our goal:

  • To stay current in all fields of education.
  • To provide experienced trained British staff utilising effective teaching resources in an Egyptian context.
  • To inspire in our students an excitement for the acquisition of knowledge, while planting the seeds of life-long learning.
  • To train students to think critically about problems and issues, conduct independent research, organise and implement projects both individually, and as a part of a group.
  • To provide extra-curricular activities, which complement students learning by providing interesting, and challenging opportunities outside the normal classroom environment.
  • To emphasise the sense of belonging to our culture, by nationalising our social studies curriculum.
  • To teach our students ethics, good behaviour, healthy habits, as well as being proud of our Egyptian identity and culture.

this school provides amazing education. one of the best schools in cairo. the school is not racist to any student. the students are the kindest to every new comer. it has a lot of great teachers. if any teacher find any of the students having any difficulties with any lesson they can repeat it for him/her a million time until she/he could understand the lesson. the school makes amazing progress with every student. the school has a lot of clubs that the students could choose from every week. the students enjoy the school to the max. this school has amazing teachers that could teach the students amazing curriculum. this school improves every single year. the school tries so hard to make the kids enjoy it to the max while providing them with amazing education.

Nefertari is a poor example of an "American" school. As an American that worked at the school, the school DOES NOT have an actual curriculum at all. They tell the teachers to teach whatever they'd like and then micromanage what the teachers choose to teach. If your students attend the American side the likelihood that they will do well on SAT or get into a school abroad and actually be able to keep up is very slim. Students who are failing, they pass anyway and do not have a program in place to help students that are interactive learners. Go to the British or German schools, but NOT the American side.
