Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
APU/AMU is center of academic excellence. If you play your cards right and exercise physically, mentally, and in spirit - the rewards yield value. Make the connections and understand the people who offer their time, technical skills, and expertise on both international and domestic affairs. APU has a one of a kind Outdoor Studies program, its Business programs (undergraduate and graduate) place special emphasis on entrepreneurial leadership and keeps Alaska Native (ANCSA) corporations in the spotlight. APU has courses in Alaska Native Governance as well - ranging from Creative Writing to Counseling Psychology (PHD levels). I would like to see more Alaska Native / American Indian students in the next 15-20 years as our staff / faculty strives towards transforming our facility into a Tribal College. Diversity. If you are looking for a true Alaskan experience, study here! Thank you! (and our Nordic ski team is the best in the country...) Great place to learn multiple instruments as well.

Fantastically small class sizes, intimate professor-student relationships, hands-on active learning, and the most beautiful landscapes for a classroom.

After spending 4 years at University of Alaska in various campuses, I am in love with Alaska Pacific's teaching style. UAA was frustrating because I felt like I was just cramming junk into my head to pass, which I did and stayed on dean's list while raising a family and working. APU teaches me not how to pass a test, but how to apply what I have learned to real world experiences that will help me in my career. The teachers double as mentors and WANT you to come to them.
I give it 4 stars just because while enrollment was initially fast, it gave way to confusion because it went through too fast. Required items on my end were not met and they waived them to get me into the semester. This was not adequately communicated to me and set me back the next semester in that the items needed to be met or I could not continue. Unfortunately by the time I knew what was going on fully, it was too late for me to enroll in classes for that semester.
APU, like the children's-book train engine, is the little university that could... Working together, we have proven ourselves capable of astonishing things!

APU is a very chill campus. All the people are extremely friendly and the teachers and administration are always easily accesible and helpful. I love the campus, its very small, but open, which makes it peaceful and very natural. The buildings look old, but inside, they're nice. Plus, who goes to a college based on the look of the buildings, really? All the events and students are friendly and fun. The classes are small which is great for a better learning process. The teachers always take the time to get to know the students. I love APU
