LCSC offers many options to international students who want to study here. Students can earn a degree, study for a semester or year only, study intensive English, or a combination of intensive English and college.

If you are a high school senior, have already graduated from high school, or earned a GED and have attempted fewer than 14 transferable semester college credits, you should apply as a freshman applicant.

At LCSC we strive to provide a high quality education at an affordable price, and we’re proud to say that with annual in-state tuition of only $6,618 we have the lowest in-state tuition among all four-year public institutions in Idaho.

Health insurance is required for international students, as well as students enrolled in Nursing or Radiographic Science programs and athletes. LCSC no longer offers a student health insurance plan.

As the cost of education continues to rise, decisions on how students and parents will pay for college becomes very important. Sources of assistance, such as Federal financial aid or scholarships, can help cover some of these expenses.

Students and parents should also begin determining how they will meet portions not covered by outside sources, whether through earnings, savings, payment plans, etc.

Lewis-Clark State College’s Residence Life program is dedicated to helping students make an easy transition from high school to college by creating an academically supportive on-campus community where ideas are shared, fun is had, and lifelong friendships are formed.

About 10 percent of LCSC’s students live in campus housing and they get to know each other really well by the end of the first semester. LCSC has four co-ed residence Halls: Clark Hall, Talkington Hall, Clearwater Hall, and Parrish House. All of the buildings are co-ed. We also manage a privately owned residence hall, College Place. Most halls have designated rooms for students with disabilities.

The Idaho Legislature of 1893 created a normal school in name, but failed to appropriate state funds to provide it with a permanent home. As was typical of that era and the century that followed, the citizens of Lewiston responded with open hearts.

Lewiston's central business district is marked by numerous "turn of the century" buildings that shadow the Snake/Clearwater confluence. While the city supports several national chain stores around which mini-malls have developed, the historic business district remains an active center of business and commerce.

The moderate, inviting climate is ideal for year-round recreational pursuits. Joggers, walkers and bicyclists take advantage of the Valley's extensive paved levee path throughout the winter. Spring in the Lewis-Clark Valley provides an artist's palate of colors, dominated by the reds, pinks and whites of Dogwood trees and an array of other flowering trees, shrubs and flowers. Summers are warm and dry; autumns are filled with the hues of trees in transition. Unlike many areas in the Inland Northwest, Lewiston and Clarkston are blessed with four distinctly beautiful seasons.

LCSC is a regional state college with a mission to prepare students to become successful leaders, engaged citizens and lifelong learners. Its core themes (opportunity, success and partnerships) are manifested in traditional academic and career and technical programs, in comprehensive student services, and through community enrichment programs.

The college’s undergraduate instructional programs offer a wide range of academic and professional programs leading to baccalaureate and associate degrees. LCSC’s programs emphasize the liberal arts and sciences, business, justice studies, nursing, social work, teacher preparation, and career and technical education. Other emphasis areas are the provision of select programs offered on and off campus, at non-traditional times, using non-traditional means of delivery, to serve a diverse student body. The institution also conducts selected research studies and provides a variety of life-long learning opportunities through its continuing education programs. LCSC works in collaboration with other state and regional postsecondary institutions to serve its diverse constituencies: students, business and industry, the professions, public sector groups, and special constituencies within the region and throughout the state.
