One of the fastest-growing educational institutions in the country, Merrimack College is a selective, private college in a beautiful, residential setting — just minutes from Boston.

The college features more than 100 career-focused undergraduate, professional and graduate programs, all taught by exceptional faculty who are passionate about their subject and student success.

Merrimack prepares students to build the skills and knowledge today’s employers want. Whether it be business, health sciences, education, science, technology or liberal arts, Merrimack programs offer a tailored experience that aligns with student’s personal and professional goals, enriched by its Catholic Augustinian heritage.

Our mission is to enlighten minds, engage hearts and empower lives.

Inspired by the Catholic faith and the Augustinian tradition of seeking truth through inquiry and dialogue, our vision is to:

  • Prepare students to adapt creatively to tomorrow’s realities through excellence in the liberal arts, sciences and the professions.
  • Build a community of scholars welcoming and respecting a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, beliefs and perspectives.
  • Cultivate the intellectual, moral, spiritual, physical and personal awareness needed to make wise choices for life, career and service.
  • Encourage and support scholarly work that contributes to the wisdom on which society bases its decisions.
  • Engage other educational institutions, industry and agencies of social change in collaborative efforts fostering a just, peaceful and sustainable world.

Merrimack College has renewed its mission and vision for the 21st century. In December 2008, the board of trustees approved a more clear and compelling mission statement that guides us in our strategic planning.

Through our schools of science and engineering; business; education and social policy; health sciences, and liberal arts, we offer more than 100 academic programs — including one that’s undoubtedly right for you. Here, you’re never on your own. From academic advisers and career counselors, to resume workshops and networking events, you’ll find all the people and resources you need to meet your goals.

At Merrimack, we believe that small classes deliver big ideas. With our 14:1 student-faculty ratio, you’ll get to know your professors — experts who have literally been there and done that and want to help you do the same. Sun-soaked trees lining grassy quads. Winding brick paths and beautiful fall foliage. Rolling hills covered by a blanket of snow. Our 220-acre campus is pretty Instagram-worthy (all year round) — and only 30 minutes from Boston. Your degree is an investment — and we think it should be an affordable one. That’s why 99 percent of students receive a grant and/or scholarship. Once you factor in financial aid options, the cost of Merrimack comes close to that of a state institution.

A degree is only as valuable as where it can take you. And based on our alumni career statistics, Merrimack is on the right track. With a 95 percent career outcomes rate and salaries that are 67 percent higher than the national average 10 years post-graduation, you can feel good about your decision to pursue a degree at Merrimack College.
