The University will graduate well–rounded and creative leaders able to embrace the challenges and opportunities ahead, contribute to their fields, and improve their communities. Students will gain and create knowledge through multiple forms of learning, including experiential education and faculty-led scholarship. Our globally engaged community will include student, faculty/librarians, and staff international exchanges and active explorations of critical world issues.

The University will exemplify how to value diversity and benefit from collaborative decision making. The strong bond among the campus community will make it a place where students, faculty/librarians, and staff want to learn, teach, and work. Whether you're a first-time freshman, transfer, graduate, veteran, or working professional, our academics are designed to equip you with everything you'll need to better your future and your community.

Westfield is one of a kind, combining big school features with small school advantages, people who think differently and creatively about the world around them, motivated students ready to make the most of their experience, and a diverse and distinguished faculty, serving as mentors and guides to shape your educational path.

Whether you have been out of school for a while, or you are just completing your bachelor’s degree, our graduate degree programs are designed for all adult learners. Our affordable programs can be completed at a pace that is comfortable for you. If you're looking for a graduate program that will sharpen your skills, or expand employment opportunities, and is taught by dedicated faculty who are experts in their fields, Westfield is the place for you.

The online bachelor’s completion program is designed for graduates of Massachusetts Community Colleges who have completed the Mass transfer compact to complete their junior and senior year of their bachelor’s degree entirely online. Students who have not completed the transfer compact or who have not graduated from a Massachusetts Community College are still eligible to enter this program and may be able to complete the majority of their courses online.

Whether you know what you want to study or aren't quite sure, our hands-on faculty and staff will help you along the way. Our comprehensive liberal arts experience prepares students for success in their career of choice.

LLCs are designed to offer students who share common educational, social, or extracurricular interests the opportunity to live together in one of the residence halls. Residents who live in their requested Living Learning Community will explore their passions with a cohort of students who share similar interests/experiences.

The Residential Life Department employs resident assistants in our nine residence halls across campus. The primary selection process for the staff takes place during the spring semester with information being sent out to the campus in December and January each year. If there are openings throughout the academic year, a smaller process may be run to fill openings and the campus community will be notified when the process would take place. The Counseling Center is so much more than individual therapy. No matter what’s going on, our services and programs can help make your life a little more chill.
