I have recently completed my sophomore year at Marist, and have really enjoyed my experience with the college thus far. The students are friendly, the faculty is helpful, and the camaraderie of the school is evident. There are several clubs and organizations to choose from in order to get involved, and one can always find something to do on or off campus in their free time. The college is a medium/small size, making it easy to walk to class in a relatively short amount of time. The campus is absolutely beautiful with amazing views of the Hudson as well.

I have just finished my freshmen year at Marist and I can honestly say that it has been the best year of my life. I have made great friends and can not wait to return in the fall! The faculty and staff are always accessible and helpful. Most students are friendly and approachable. I am a communications major and the comm department offers several opportunities and internships. Marist also has a beautiful campus and from day one it felt like home.

I absolutely love Marist. It is a great place to be both academically and socially. I love the people there and I feel that I am getting a great education. I am currently doing my first internship and I feel prepared despite only attending the college for two years. It is not very diverse, but many private schools, unfortunately, are not. However, there is something for everyone so no matter what you are into or what type of person you are, you will fit in

Marist is a great school. It offers a myriad of wonderful opportunities, both scholastically and socially. The student body is well rounded, with a lot of school spirit! The professors are kind and knowledgeable, and always willing to help beyond what they are required to do. The campus is beautiful!

I cannot imagine myself anywhere other than Marist. It's selective and small, with classes led by professors who know you by name, not your Social Security number. The campus is gorgeous and located on the Hudson River, and there is constant expansion and renovation in regards to the buildings on campus. There are an abundance of opportunities in clubs to expand upon your interest in terms of your major and hobbies and many options to expand your academic experience beyond the United States.

I am a member of a greek organization and currently have a 3.6 GPA after completing my freshmen year. Everything at Marist is well kept and very beautiful. People are friendly and the professors are very passionate about their fields. If I could, I would attend Marist College year round.

Marist's overall appeal comes not only from the gorgeous campus, but from the friendliness of the entire institution. People go out of their way to hold doors open for others. The college feels like home and has activities for either those who want to party or those who like to stay in. The professors are always holding office hours and most know all their students names.

The math department is by far the best of the ones offered at Marist. The faculty are all highly helpful and intelligent and will do everything in their power to help you succeed. Small in size (each year consists of only about 25-30 majors), this intimate setting allows for more face-time with professors and much needed personal attention manifested in the forms of independent research, faculty mentorship and student-faculty study groups. Highly underrated, the school of mathematics and computer science is certainly Marist's 'diamond in the rough.'

Beautiful campus....very competitive to get into, less than a 30% acceptance rate. Freshman dorms are fairly large. Great view of the Hudson. Plenty of activities to do during the day and Poughkeepsie has good nightlife. Nice sense of school spirit! I love it here!
