Coming from across the country to attend BGSU, I don't regret it for a second. I chose bg because I knew that this school would provide me with the whole college experience I had been looking for, unlike the small private schools out where I'm from. The faculty has provided me with amazing help in planning out my future thus far and the people I have met are driven and good students, but also know how to have a good time. Yes, Ohio is freezing in the winter. and yes, there is lots of farm land. However, if you join on campus organizations I doubt you will sit in your room and be bored unlike schools where everyone goes home on the weekend. BG is in the works of updating a lot of their dorms so within the next 5 or so years I can see the campus aesthetics improving a lot too. Obviously, college is what you make of it so if you're not willing to put yourself out there and try new things then no you're not going to like BG but probably not any other college either. The difference in BG is its big enough to not get bored but small enough to not feel like you're nobody.

BGSU was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The academic atmosphere is great; several researchers and guest speakers come to the campus from all over the world for conferences and presentations on a regular basis. The city of Bowling Green is a college town that is a lot of fun and it has a lot of unique spots to just chill and read or get something to eat. Many of my friends are successful in their respective fields working all over the world; though there are a few that partied too much and are struggling(just a few). I could have attended just about any other school in the country and I am glad that I chose Bowling Green State University.

I absolutely loved my four years at BGSU. I would do it again in a heartbeat. There's not a lot to do around town, but there are literally hundreds of extracurricular things to get involved with.

I absolutely loved Bowling Green. The campus is beautiful and just the right size: not too big but not too small. I am all for the construction that is going on right now, because in 2011, campus will be totally different. There also is a ton of school spirit. I would highly recommend BGSU if you are interested in becoming a teacher, because the Education Department was outstanding, and BGSU is known nationally for a few majors, but Education specifically. The town is super safe too and very cute. It is a college town, but there is enough of a city portion of it that I found it was a great balance for me. I also have noticed that the people of Bowling Green are super friendly too as a whole, and the community supports the University and vice versa!
