One of the first Ohio regional campuses, founded in 1946 to serve the needs of returning WWII veterans, the Zanesville Campus is committed to the economic and cultural development of the Zanesville region. To serve this mission, our faculty and staff provide access to outstanding learning opportunities and highly respected educational credentials in a small and supportive environment.
Our students do not take these educational opportunities lightly. Many are the first in their families to attend college, have a full-time job while working on their degrees, have spouses and children, or drive over thirty miles to take classes. The dynamic environment facing higher education today shape OU Zanesville’s five Associate and thirteen Bachelor degrees. Our flexibly-scheduled courses in Zanesville and Cambridge, and online, prepare students to face the challenges of our changing world. Students are able to connect wirelessly in our many common spaces, gather and share ideas in the library, exercise or swim at the Muskingum Recreation Center, or wander along the Collegial Woods walking trails as part of their college experience. Ohio University Zanesville provides the education of a major research university, while maintaining the individualized attention associated with a small, liberal arts college. Students have access to more than 50 full-time faculty who are world renown in their fields and active in research.
The Zanesville campus serves commuter students who seek associate and bachelor's degrees. Our students join us right out of high school, from years of working on the job, and from other colleges, universities or technical schools.

The purpose of financial aid is to assist students and their parents in funding a college education. Ohio University Zanesville is committed to helping students and their families in making financial preparations to pay the cost of attending college. More than 85 percent of Zanesville Campus students receive merit or need-based financial aid. The Office of Student Financial Aid is committed to being your partner in education to working with your and your family to make the Ohio University Zanesville experience possible.
Working to bridge the gap from high school to college and college to career, the Internship and Career Services office provides comprehensive assistance to all Ohio University Zanesville students and alumni in the process of career development and related activities.
The Internship and Career Specialist works to foster collaborative relationships with alumni, faculty, and employers, connecting students with innovative resources, services and employment opportunities. The office serves as a resource to students improve their resumes, practice interviewing skills, apply for internship opportunities, and successfully experience "real world" work in their program of study.
The Internship and Career Specialist, in collaboration with Ohio University Zanesville faculty, facilitates process of self-awareness that encourages all students and alumni to engage in career exploration and holistic leadership skill development. Interest inventories and career counseling are services that are offered by appointment.
Counseling services are available to Ohio University Zanesville staff and students. The goal of counseling services on campus is to assist individuals to be successful in managing stressors or mental health difficulties with the goal of reaching their personal and academic goals.
