Corban’s history stretches back to 1935 when it began as a small Bible institute in Phoenix, Arizona. You’ll notice, as you dive into Corban’s story, that the school has been called by several different names. Each name marks a significant season in Corban’s history and helps illustrate the transitions and periods of growth the school experienced to become the University it is today.

But the common thread in each of the school’s iterations has been a commitment to the authority of Scripture and a foundation on the person of Jesus Christ. Corban’s name and location may have changed, but its roots haven’t. Today, the school is just as committed to discipling Christians and preparing them for a lifetime of impact as it was in 1935.

Corban offers a wide variety of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs, both on campus and online. Every program combines academic excellence with Christian principles and purpose, integrating a biblical worldview in every class. No matter which program you choose, you will be prepared to make a difference in your career and community.

A graduate degree may be just what you need to deepen your knowledge, set yourself apart in your field, or prepare for a career transition. Whether you want to hone your counseling skills or develop your background in nonprofit leadership, a graduate degree from Corban University might be the perfect fit.

Everything about Corban Online is designed to help you overcome the obstacles that have kept you from attending a traditional on-campus program, without sacrificing academic rigor, personal mentoring, or spiritual engagement. Whether you pursue a Corban education in the classroom or online, you’ll encounter a supportive Christian community where you’ll be challenged to grow spiritually, personally, and academically.

At Corban, we want every student to be successful in the classroom. That’s why we offer a range of tools and support to students. From peer tutoring to disability services to the writing center, Student Support provides the tools you need to succeed.Be sure to visit the Student Support office to learn more about the services we provide.

Students with disabilities are and have always been an important part of our student body. Although the college does not offer a specialized curriculum, personnel at the college work with students to modify campus facilities and programs to meet individual needs.

The Director of the Student Support works closely with staff to ensure that students with disabilities receive the same academic opportunities as other students.Early planning is encouraged to allow our staff adequate time to make the necessary arrangements for support services. If you will be requesting accommodations due to a disability it will be necessary to provide documentation verifying the disability. The disability assessment must have been completed within the last three years.

We also provide limited individualized services depending upon the needs of students with disabilities. Students who require attendant care while on campus must provide their own attendants.Parking spaces are available for those individuals with DMV handicapped plates or place cards. On-campus parking permits are also available through Student Life for students who experience a temporary loss of mobility.

New international students are introduced to American culture through a fall orientation. We also try to place new international students with an American roommate to help make the adjustments needed to be successful while studying in America. In addition, our Student Support office can help connect students with tutors and English writing support, which also helps them succeed academically.

There are plenty of ways to get involved with other international students, as well as community life in general. We encourage sightseeing and special events. Some of these have included hiking nearby Silver Creek Falls, exploring Oregon’s capital city of Salem, touring the scenic Columbia River Gorge where the second tallest waterfall in the U.S. is located, and carving pumpkins at a Harvest Party.

The Corban University Center for Global Engagement (CGE) provides a place for scholars to work together to discuss and address global issues affecting Christian education, the church, and other Christian organizations working to further the gospel in international contexts. Corban University activates its global mission through international initiatives and partnerships, global scholars, professional development and academic study programs for both domestic and international students. We believe global competence and cultural adaptability is a must for Christian thought leaders to succeed internationally and in a variety of national, ethnic, and organizational cultures.

Individual counseling can help you make important decisions, gain insight into your personal strengths and weakness, and learn to cope more effectively with the demands and difficulties of University life. Short term, on campus counseling services are provided at no cost to you. If appropriate, you may be referred to an off campus counselor or agency for psychological tests or further consultation at your own expense.

The mission of Corban University’s Career and Counseling Center is to serve the students of Corban University. The counseling center is not an emergency clinic. The counselors on campus adhere to FERPA, the Code of Ethics of the State of Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, and the American Counseling Association in regards to the confidentiality of clients/students. As such, the Clinical Director and counselors are unable to confirm or deny that a student has sought counseling services.

This University has been a game changer for my child; the staff's unwavering support coupled with the high-quality education has propelled their growth beyond what we imagined!

Good school. Caring faculty. Nice location. I believe the college is stronger than it was when I attended there, partly because it is larger and thus there are fewer really small academic departments and because its reputation is stronger. The facilities are much better than in the past and overall are very adequate for a small college. But Corban University is good!
