Founded in 1849, Waynesburg University was one of the earliest schools in America to develop programs on a coeducational basis. Since its inception, the University has maintained a commitment to service as a way of witnessing to the love of God in the world. Early graduates became missionaries, ministers, educators, soldiers, statesmen, political leaders, judges and businessmen who carried that unique mission throughout their lives. Today's graduates are encouraged to do the same.
