The London Training for Excellence Dynamic Leadership Programme is a comprehensive five-day course that will help your leadership skills make a quantum leap to the next level of performance, productivity, and effectiveness. It will give you the tools to master leadership skills to accelerate your career.
The course is practical, interactive and well planned with plenty of ‘stretch’ to make the course suit the needs of the individual..
Objective
The course will enable you to:
Day 1: Leading in Action
Session 1: Starting with the end in mind
A warm welcome, brief introduction and an outline of the Leadership programme. Introduce the Support and Challenge model as a way of contracting in the room and as ways of working together as a team and with own teams.
Session 2: It’s all about me
Using disclosure to start to build trust and rapport within the team with an opportunity to story tell.
Session 3: Action Centred Leadership
Analyse John Adair’s Action Centred leadership model, which focuses on the balance of leadership between Team, Task, and individual.
Session 4: Leadership V’s Management
Introduce the concept of the Leader / Manager Continuum and the skills and behaviours
required
Session 5: Think Change
An experiential session that demonstrates behaviours in change and insights into how to better lead themselves and teams though change.
Session 6: Our Iceberg is melting
Understand how to lead and land change effectively using Dr John Kotter’s 8 step process
Session 7: Review of the day
Day 2: Building High Performing teams
Session 1: Learning review and Check-in
Review and reflections from the previous day
Session 2: Functioning teams
Introduce Patrick Lencioni’s model: “The five dysfunctions of a team” to help identify what it takes to make a high performing team
Session 3: Communication
Understand different communication styles, identify own style and how to communicate effectively with impact to team and individual, including feedback
Session 4: Resilient Leadership
Understand own levels of resilience, build a better understanding of how to support team resilience. To think and lead in a more positive and resilient way
Session 5: Managing Confidence Levels
Look at confidence, how it effects our ability to be resilient and how to manage and become a more confident leader
Session 6: My Plan
Build on the learning from the day taking a deeper dive into resilience using the Wheel of Life
Day 3: Leading Others
Session 1: Learning Review and Check-in
Review and reflections from the previous day
Session2: Flexible Leadership
Gain an insight and awareness into preferred and habitual leadership styles and understand the implications for own teams. To develop a more consciously flexible leadership style.
Session 3: The Power of Direction
Looking at the skill and lost art of direction.
Session 4: The Art of Coaching
Understand the power of coaching and when to use it. Introduce the London TFE coaching framework. Build on current coaching techniques and practice different coaching models.
Session 5: Support
Looking at current business issues and share a problem-solving tool
Session 6: The Art of Delegation
Know when and how to delegate and create room for growth.
Session 7: Motivating Teams
Identify what motivates self and others and start building individual bespoke motivational plans for own teams and look at how personal values link to motivation.
Session 8: Putting it into practice
Consolidate the learnings from the day. Build an ongoing action plan for continuous improvement of self and others.

Day 4: Inspiring Authentic Leadership
Session 1: The Fine Art of Storytelling
A reflection of the Leadership Journey to date, how leadership has developed and practice the Art of Storytelling as a key leadership skill
Session 2: Being a Future Leader
Becoming forward thinking, using visioning to build Leadership capability
Session 3: Understanding my Leadership Values
Understand own Leadership values and how to use values to inspire
Session 4 Creating a Vision and Strategy
Create a team Vision and Strategic direction. Experience writing own inspiring and compelling Visions and review/build strategic direction
Session 5: The Importance of Trust as an Inspiring Leader
Experience being trusted and trusting, to understand the trust equation and own trust quotient
Session 6: Being an Authentic Leader
Defining your own Authentic Leadership in order to Inspire and Lead Teams

Day 5: Influencing
This session will enable you to

Come with a real future influencing scenario
Session 1:“Who’s got the POWER!”
To establish different sources of power that each leader can harness, which is their favourite and how can they explore other power bases
Session 2: The Model
Introducing the London Training for Excellence framework for effective influencing
Session 3: Strategic influencing
Explore how to structure an influencing opportunity using strategic thinking
Session 4: Building and Influencing Strategy
Understand how to build a strategic influencing plan, including the science of persuasion and negotiation guru
Session 5: My stakeholders
Introduce varying stakeholder tools to identify and analyze stakeholders
Session 6: The language of influencing
Identify different Influencing styles, looking at why, when and how to use them
Session 7: Consolidation
Consolidate influencing strategy and learnings
