The MSc Legal Technology Programme offers a unique intersection of law and technology integrating legal theory with technological applications. It aims to educate law graduates, legal professionals and IT/computing graduates on legal technology innovations transforming legal practice today and in the future. Students will acquire a holistic understanding of innovative applications of technology to different areas of legal practice and theoretical analysis of their fundamentals, as well as develop practical skills that will enable them to pursue successful careers in legal practice with a focus on the use of technology.
As legal industry undergoes transformations driven by technological advancements, this programme provides a comprehensive exploration of how cutting-edge technologies are reshaping the practise of law. Students will be exposed to technical aspects of cybersecurity, AI, privacy, and data protection in the legal settings and framework. Middlesex University (MDX) Dubai is the first overseas campus of Middlesex University in London. The university opened in Dubai Knowledge Park (DKP) in 2004 and has 6,300+ students from 127 nationalities. The Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the UAE’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) granted MDX Dubai its initial institutional licence on 9 January 2025.
