Rabdan Academy

Rabdan Academy is a government-owned world class education institution established to coordinate and enhance learning outcomes for organizations and individuals in the safety, security, defense, emergency preparedness and crisis management sectors.

The Academy was officially established under Law No. 7 for 2013, issued by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi and is accredited by the UAE’s Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the Ministry of Education.

In the UAE, Rabdan Academy is the first to provide learning in a dual approach, combining academic and vocational education in one place whilst recognizing prior learning and experience and providing accredited and transferable credit from course to course and job to job.

At the forefront, Rabdan Academy is leading of collaborative training and education for a cadre of safety, security, defense, emergency preparedness, and crisis management (SSDEC) specialists. This integration and co-ordination of education and training opportunities, capabilities and standards, in a cohesive and world-class environment, will result in a continuously improving capability for the protection of the nation.

The development of the 5-Year Strategic Plan continues on driving Rabdan Academy towards achieving the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces for Rabdan Academy to become a sound basis for promoting cooperation and coordination between national institutions and provide them with talented and qualified Emirati citizens who are capable of addressing modern and future challenges.
