Play is at the heart of Al Khaleej Nursery and the Early Years Foundation Stage. We firmly believe a child who is happy, safe and secure develops and learns. Through daily routines and a well-planned programme of both child and adult initiated activities we ensure each child works at a level appropriate to their needs and abilities.

Al Khaleej Nursery is part of the Beaconhouse group which has over 247,000 fulltime students in nine countries and is possibly the largest school network of its kind in the world. Established in November 1975 as the Les Anges Montessori Academy with 19 toddlers, Beaconhouse has since grown into an international network of private schools, imparting distinctive and meaningful education to students.

Al Khaleej Nursery became part of the Beaconhouse Group in March 2009. It is located in the heart of Sharjah and caters to children ranging from the age of 3 months to 4 years.

We follow the EYFS learning and development principles to structure the activities each day. Our ethos is that of a caring, fun and educational environment where little people start to learn about the world of school and more about the school of life! we aim to enable children, in a friendly, happy and caring atmosphere, and through stimulating play, to develop to their full potential in every aspect of growing up.

The welfare, learning and all- round development of children with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability is central to everything we do each day.

Qualified and experienced Teachers, Assistant Teachers and a Nurse, all of whom speak excellent English. Teaching and activities are based on the British Curriculum, covering the 7 areas of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). These are delivered to the children to help them acquire the skills and values that will maximise their academic, social, emotional and physical development. All the Al Khaleej Nursery classrooms and facilities are equipped to provide ample opportunity for imaginative, creative and constructive play areas.

All classes follow a relaxed and flexible schedule to ensure that each child’s needs are recognised and catered for. Each child is encouraged to progress at their own pace whilst integrating within the group as a whole. The children are provided with sufficient stimulus to reach their potential, whilst not forcing them beyond their respective capabilities.
