Private Italian School was opened in 1870 by the royal decree of Sultan Abdülaziz as kindergarten and elementary school with the attempt of Sir Madre Luigia CANEGRATI of Italian Government Immacolata Concezione d’Ivrea, and provided education for Italian, Turkish and foreign national female students.

Galileo Galilei Private Italian High School works for improving the cultural and academic backgrounds of the students with over 100 years of experience, educational background by blending the facts of Turkish National Education with Italian National Education. We protect the universal values of our globalizing world by including our alumni in the administrative and educational staff, maintain educational policies and traditions, and take firm steps into the future.

In addition to the academic aspects of the education, our school ensures that the students are educated as good individuals, good people, and good citizens. Each student goes through a maturation period preparing him/her for both intellectual knowledge and life.
