Qatar Academy Sidra (QAS) as part of the Qatar Foundation’s Pre University Education, is a non profit, co- educational international school that offers a broad- based, international educational program. QAS empowers expatriate and Qatari students to continue their studies within a variety of universities and colleges around the world, or within Qatar Foundation.
QA Sidra was established in 2012 and is a fully authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programme school. We are licensed by the Qatari Ministry of Education and fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

Very clear and fair discipline policy. They are not understaffed so they can easily support students in challenging situations that can arise.

As a mother who have two children at QA Sidra I think they have a lot of things to work on and develop.
- the school doesn't apply IB system as alleged.
- Administration and teachers keep changing which cause students and family to struggle with every new style in management and teaching.
- The school doesn't follow up on the educational process. students are not asked about home works or reading which makes students careless. There is no continues progress and improvement through the years, most of the topics are repeated with no additional deeper information.
- No efficient supervision on searching, students during activities and when using electronics in class. for example kids in primary school can open youtube and search for any topic which might include violence or inappropriate things.
- the buildings are so old with less or no efficient facilities such as very few playgrounds, asphalt ground which causes injuries, very few shaded areas, poor ventilation in the gym, smelly bathrooms and no enough parking.
- Bullying and bad attitude is spread among students with bad language that leads to violence most of the time with no proper awareness and action processes to reduce theses cases.
- Finally when we attend school conferences the administration presents points and solutions that parents want to hear, but in reality most of it is not applied.
