ELSian educators commit to an active learning approach to instill the sense of discovery that will lead to lifelong exploration and learning. Through various practical activities in the classroom, students are exposed to individual, pair and group work to question, discuss, investigate, and explore.

Research shows that children and students learn better if they are actively involved in findings and apply their knowledge to a range of problems. Students are deliberately given the opportunities through academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to develop communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving skills. With this exposure to real life application and fluency in technology, ELSian students will continue to grow with a sense of independence, ability to evaluate and learn from mistakes, endurance, strength and flexibility to ensure success beyond schooling.

“We know what we are, but know not what we may be.” Shakespeare

The journey of learning and education is an incredible journey of continuous improvement which cannot be made whole without a strong home school partnership. A collaborative working relationship between families and the school will support students in more productive and consistent work and behavior. Home-school support that is aligned results in improved student interest, motivation, engagement and results! At ELS, student welfare is our priority and working with parents hand in hand is key.

As we continue our journey of teaching and learning, the journey of growth and improvement becomes truly everlasting as our students become more and more capable to experience life as they meet it.

The coming generations are ready for changes and challenges; they are generations who can and should stand with heads high and proud. The coming generations will create new norms and pave ways for those who will follow; they are brilliant and will continue to make ELS brilliant with them.

Throughout the buildings of ELS whether National, British or American, ELSian educators aim to achieve excellence in learning in addition to equipping students with the academic and life skills, ethical traits and morals to bring to life the school vision ensuring that our students truly learn for life.
