It’s always a good feeling to give back to people through charity. There are various UAE charities, support groups and volunteer programs in the UAE.
These various UAE charities hold regular volunteer programs and initiatives across the country and open its doors to those willing to help.

1. The UAE Red Crescent
Emirates Red Crescent is a volunteer humanitarian organization that supports official authorities in times of peace and war. It was chosen as the second best humanitarian authority at the level of the continent of Asia.
2. Emirates Wildlife Society
EWS-WWF was born out of a need to protect biodiversity in key sites across the emirates including species and ecosystems of concern in the region. It aims to raise awareness on the high UAE Ecological Footprint and contribute to policy and institutional framework to address environmental issues.
3. Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC)
The UAE foundation aims to offer protection and support for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence, child abuse and human trafficking.
DFWAC is looking for professional volunteers and donations of new items for women and children. Corporate and individual donors are also <ahref=”https://www.edarabia.com/99090/ramadan-and-writing-phdailies/” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>encouraged.
The UAE Dolphin Project aims to gather scientific information about the local dolphin population off the coast of Dubai. The UAE Dolphin Project runs a public awareness campaign called the Occasional Sighting Network. Every time that anybody sees a dolphin, they can report it. This data will be filed in a single database and will be extremely useful to scientists studying dolphins in the region.
5. Elasmobranch Protection Group UAE (EPG-UAE)
It aims to raise awareness about the plight of the region’s 30 species of sharks, rays and sawfish, whose populations have been decimated worldwide. Volunteers can help by attending group meetings and spreading the word.
It holds regular Sunday events for children with special needs completely free of charge. These events are held in various locations in Dubai such as Ski Dubai, Vox Cinemas, Fun City and Wild Wadi. Volunteers are welcome to help during Sunday morning events.
7. Dubai Blood Donation Centre
Save lives and donate your blood for people in need of blood transfusion. Dubai Health Authority encourages anyone aged between 17 and 65, weigh at least 50kg and are in good health to donate blood.
8. Adopt-a-Camp
Volunteers will be needed to help assemble at least 5,000 Ramadan care packages to be distributed at labour camps across Dubai. These packages include three months’ worth of toiletries, energy-food items like pillows, towels, socks and plates. Volunteers are encouraged to help pack and assemble care packages.
9. Pink Caravan
The mission of this organization is to spread awareness and encourage early detection of breast cancer among UAE women through regular self-examination and screening. They are looking for volunteers specifically with relevant background in medicine, mechanics, four-wheel-drive specialists and veterinarians.
10. Act Now campaign
The Canadian Specialist Hospital (CSH) has launched this campaign to tackle the issue of childhood obesity by encouraging lifestyle changes to address the cause of the problem. UAE is the fifth in a list of the world’s most obese countries. Thus, it aims to teach parents and children on how to make long-term, healthy adjustments to their routine.
11. MedecinsSans Frontiers
This global organization provides medical humanitarian aid, giving quality medical care. They provide assistance around the world to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, and exclusion from health care or natural disasters.
12. Valley of Love
This organisation provides a helping hand for those in need. Volunteers assist those in hospital to help families with the formalities of death and repatriation. They offer assistance to families. If you have time or the financial freedom to help the VOL team, you would be more than welcome to help.
13. Make A Wish Foundation UAE
Each year in the UAE, children are unfortunately diagnosed with life-threatening conditions. The Make-A-Wish UAE assists these children and their families by providing an avenue for hope and strength.
