The Learning Tree Kindergarten and Nursery

The Learning Tree Kindergarten and Nursery, previously known as The Creative Academy for Kids, was created following the standards set about by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, NAEYC, the U. S. Department of Education, National Child Day Care Association, and the teaching strategies of The Creative Curriculum, by Diane Trister Dodge, Laura Colker, and Cate Heroman, and the developmental guidelines of POCET, Infant, Toddler and Preschool,Instructional Practices.The school was founded in 2008. The Learning Tree is the creative combination and intertwining of all of the above teaching strategies, standards, curriculum guidelines, and school environmental philosophies as shared by Sandra Al-Ajmi, the Director and Co-Owner.

The Learning Tree Bahrain is a privately owned preschool and Kindergarten located in Hamala, Bahrain. One of our key focuses is living by our motto "Enriching Young Minds", we believe in having smaller classes, which allows our teachers the ability to provide much needed individual attention to each student.

We offer Kindergarten for ages 3-5 years, and Nursery for ages 18 months through to 3 years. Our philosophy is that children learn best when engaged and interested. Our curriculum is developed around the principles of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). By providing guided play experiences, enriched learning environment and challenging curriculum, we believe that learning can be fun, and when children are engaged and having fun, we can optimize learning and teaching opportunities.

Each and every activity is carefully planned and designed to provide learning opportunities that are age specific to your child, and developmentally appropriate for Nursery and Kindergarten Students.

Early Childhood Education (Kindergarten and Nursery) exposes students to a comprehensive program intended to promote and encourage the developmental stages in a child’s life from birth to age six. We focus on the key developmental years of 18 months through to 5 years. These years are proven to be critical developmental years in a child’s development of readiness skills for American and British Schools in Bahrain. Our program focuses on the social, emotional, academic and physical development of our students in a nurturing and positive environment. Inclusive in these programs is language acquisition, or the development of a student’s ability to communicate effectively within their home environment. As such, we provide dual language exposure and programs of language acquisition in both Arabic and English, while keeping with our philosophy that learning can be fun!
