The SAIS Group of Schools was established in 1997 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, upon the opening of Sharjah American International School. Dr. Aysha Ali Bin Sayyar and Dr. Nawaf Mohamed Fawaz envisioned more educational choices to become available for students and their parents.
Following the success of Sharjah American International School in Sharjah, a second brand was opened in Dubai, UAE in 2005. The increased success among the schools led to yet another branch in Umm Al Quwain in 2014 and was shortly followed by our branch in Abu Dhabi in 2016. The schools offer a rich American Curriculum which is based on internationally recognized American Education Standards including CCSS for English and Math, and NGSS standards for Science. The school models California State Education Framework.
Our school offers curriculum, instructional strategies, and resources to meet the needs and styles of diverse learners. Each student will be challenged to achieve based on individual strengths and areas of growth and through small group instruction, personalized education time, and interventions built into the school day. I currently have 3 children that attend this school since KG. I cannot list all the ways this school is amazing. From the building that is well-kept to the hard-working and professional teachers, I have never had a complaint. My oldest is currently in Grade 5 and the learning structure that they currently have in place has pushed my child to do better academically. She has become a better student and enjoys attending school daily.

As a parent, I really recommend this school as it offers supportive learning environment. Knowledgeable and friendly new staff and professional management. My son started to improve academically he moment he joined this school. Hope they continue with this progress.

It's the best school ever!
I am a freshmen in high school and the school offers strong education that can direct students with different life careers. There are different electives given, different competitions students can take place in and get a credit. Overall, teachers are very supportive!
