Ajman, UAE: H.H. Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and Chairman of the board for City University College of Ajman (CUCA) and R Education and Academic Development (READ), visited the construction site of READ at Al Tallah Ajman, along with College President and READ CEO, Mr. Imran Khan.

READ, the education arm of R Holding ventured into the education sector in Ajman in 2012 with the inception of CUCA. To further its contribution to the sector, READ embarked on the READ Development project last year.

The AED 950 million project comprises of development over a land area of 2.2 million sq.ft, including the new campus for CUCA, City School, CityLife Mall Al Tallah, sporting facilities, and students’ hostel facility. The first phase will see AED 300 million of this investment into the project.

H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the construction work and stated, “READ is one of a kind project in Ajman, catering to various levels of education, starting from primary going up to advanced education.”

Sheikh Rashid advised and emphasized on the importance of advance educational technologies in delivering the academic programs, sustainability of the development and use of renewable energy to be an integral part of READ development.

Construction of the project is on schedule with City School, the largest Indian CBSE Curriculum school in Ajman, opening doors in April 2017. Spread over a sprawling 1 million square feet area, the AED 90 million project provides a variety of educational facilities in a safe environment. Admissions are open for the academic year 2017 – 18 and classes will commence in April.

Imran Khan, CEO of READ said, “The overwhelming response from the Ajman community towards CUCA strengthened our commitment to provide high quality educational projects, which cater to various segments of the Community”.

Khan added, “The new CUCA campus, will open in Fall 2017. Built over 1 million square feet of land area, the campus will accommodate 13000 students. Located on Sheikh Ammar Road in Ajman, the campus features an urban design with emphasis on practicality and student convenience. We expect to move into our new campus by Fall of 2017”. Khan added, “Along with the expansion of the infrastructure, we will be adding some new programs while continuing our pursuit of acquiring a university status.”

The first phase of CUCA Campus will complete this year and will open doors to students by Fall 2017. The new bigger, better-equipped campus will meet the anticipated needs of the growing student population at the College.
