SKEMA Business School is a private establishment of higher education and research with the legal status of a non-profit association under the French "1901 law".
SKEMA was founded in 2009 as a result of the merger between the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, Lille and CERAM Business School, Sophia Antipolis. The Lille school had been founded in 1892 and CERAM in 1963.
SKEMA is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles. The school was approved by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, as an EESPIG (Private Establishment for Higher Education declared to be of public usefulness). This official status was conferred on 6 July 2015 and declared in the Bulletin Officiel on 23 July 2015.
SKEMA is a community devoted to learning and the creation and transmission of management knowledge and practice. Since its inception, SKEMA has become a global school with a multi-campus structure and a large portfolio of programmes taught in English and in French. These range from undergraduate level to continuing education and are aligned with the Bologna higher education norms (Licence, Master, Doctorate).
SKEMA aims to become the global business school on five continents. Its common international strategy is to train management leaders in the knowledge economy by developing.
Since its beginnings in 2009 as a result of the merger between ESC Lille and CERAM Business School, SKEMA has been a global business school that has always been inspired by the same ambition on its French and international campuses: to train leaders and managers who are mobile and adaptable, able to contribute to the knowledge economy and generate sustainable performance respecting the values and challenges of society, the environment and the economy. SKEMA graduates should seek to create value by continuous innovation while respecting multicultural and social diversity. The school currently has 7,200 students, 160 research professors, six campuses worldwide and 35,000 alumni.
The mission and values on which SKEMA has based its strategy are completely in line with world economic developments.
Our campuses are situated in science hubs or recognised business centres where vital synergies among companies develop innovation and create the techniques of the future.
SKEMA campuses all have the same objectives: to offer students multicultural exposure combining academic life with international professional experience.
Our multi-campus structure is a laboratory that works to the advantage of both companies and students. It means that we can be in close collaboration with our economic environment and that of international higher education.
Our campuses are located in fast developing science hubs where the vital synergies for innovation and future techniques are developed. SKEMA is a major player in contributing to the local communities and environments of all our campus.

Skema Business School is ranked justifiably as one of the best business schools of France. They provide a huge network and international environment. I made friends from all over the world, enlarged my project handling skills and adapted previous learnings during my stay.
However, Paris campus is a bit disorganized due to its size and the shared campus building.

The school is quite overrated in my opinion. I did my Msc in Inernational Marketing and Business Development in the Paris Campus. I would say the campus itself is the worst comapred to the other campuses. I tried having a Student Club on campus but it failed. Student life is DEAD. Everybody goes to school, go to class, and leave. I have also worked in the K Center (Library of the school). I've gained very few friends out of my experience at SKEMA. The program itself was confusing as SKEMA is very unorganized when it comes to chaos, calendar and grades. Many classes were repetitive and you are pretty much learning the same thing in few classes. I am only giving this a 3 star just for the some of the great professors I had the pleasure to meet. I would probably recommend SKEMA but not the Paris campus.

I'm glad to see that Skema Business School has improved a lot since its merger and I think that its Global Knowledge programme is suitable for the current globalized world. Currently studying a MSc in Digital Marketing, I'm also happy to see that most of students from Skema are actually international students which is a considerable advantage to improve my English and to learn about new cultures!
