College Francais Bilingue De Londres

Opened in 2011, the French Bilingual College of London welcomes 700 students aged 3 to 15, from the small section of nursery to 3rd grade. With a rich community of nearly 35 different nationalities , the CFBL places tolerance and openness to others at the center of its educational project.

Located in the heart of the British capital in the Camden district, the French Bilingual College of London gives its students access to excellent teaching through enhanced language learning and the dissemination of digital culture. In a warm environment, our students discover the joy of learning  in a spirit of respect and trust based on listening and permanent dialogue with the teaching and educational teams.

Encouraged to exchange, create and take initiatives in a multicultural environment , our students acquire, in addition to academic knowledge, human and relational qualities which will guide them throughout their years of study and even beyond.

At the end of their course, students continue their education  in a French high school in London (mainly the Lycée International Winston Churchill but also the Lycée Charles de Gaulle) or another establishment in France or abroad, while some orient towards the English education system.

Our mission

The CFBL aims to transmit to its students the best of French school culture as well as English school culture and to prepare them for today's world by offering them bilingual and multicultural education.

We particularly aim to:

• encourage academic excellence  by following the programs of the Ministry of National Education and setting the objective of exceeding the expectations thus formulated as often as possible,
• provide advice and assistance to students , as well as their families, in order to help them achieve the best possible academic career,
• promote the personal development of students  by offering them as wide a spectrum as possible of collective and individual activities in the artistic, cultural and sporting fields; promote extracurricular activities to this end,
• help students prepare for admission  to the French second cycle or a transition to an English-speaking school system,
• teach students to respect the richness and diversity of the cultures  they have the chance to encounter at CFBL and beyond; to respect all adults, teachers and non-teachers, management, who bring the CFBL educational project to life.

• The CFBL's bilingual and bicultural project  allows for the teaching of other languages ​​and the discovery of other cultures.
• Fully in the 21st century  and welcoming children of the internet generation, the CFBL must be exemplary in the exploitation of digital resources – tools and content.
• Tolerance and openness to other cultures  is at the heart of the CFBL educational project.
• The 3-year establishment project is subject to validation by the AEFE.
