We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.

Our School Values
The school values were chosen by the whole school community with input from the School Council, all staff, Governors and parents at Godwin.  This is our set of core values, the values that we hold most dear; they guide us in all that we say and do and help to shape the future of our school.

We promote school values through our assemblies and in class everyday.  Children show their understanding of the school values through their words and actions and are rewarded with certificates for this.

At Godwin Primary School we follow the National Curriculum.  We plan from this ensuring we plan for a curriculum that:

• has reading at its heart - so that every child leaves us as a fluent reader, readily able to access the next stage of their learning;
• develops children’s vocabulary and equips them with skills to reduce social disadvantage;
• is based on our Godwin values, as well as our ethos of working together and nurture, to promote positive emotional and physical health;
• provides experiences and opportunities that broaden children’s cultural capital and support the mindset that they can achieve anything, in order to encourage ambition and academic aspiration.
