Welcome to Christ’s College Finchley, a modern, forward looking school that combines cutting edge provision in teaching and learning with traditional values.
We pursue academic excellence for all students, resolute in the belief that every student has great potential and should be given the opportunity to fulfil it. The school combines the best aspects of conventional learning with skilled innovation and creativity to provide a rich environment for students to progress.
Our outstanding teachers and their dynamic approach to delivering a traditional education through a contemporary curriculum and modern teaching methods allows us to nurture each student’s talent. At Christ’s College, we advocate a holistic approach to education with a focus on the development of the whole child, not just their academic credentials; therefore students are also encouraged to develop skills and expertise outside of the classroom through our extensive enrichment programme.
Ethos & Values
At Christ’s College Finchley we value and are proud to be a modern, forward-looking school which serves our local community. We want Christ’s College to fire the imaginations of its students, and support them to develop in ways which stand them in good stead for their future lives and responsibilities.
Our school motto, since March 1906, is Usque Proficiens meaning “advance all the way”. In today’s 21st century, this 20th century motto encapsulates the mission of Christ’s College to delivering a traditional education through a contemporary curriculum and modern teaching methods.
Our staff are integral in the pursuit of our objectives: dedicated to developing and implementing the best possible teaching practices, so they can maximise every student’s progress whilst making learning engaging and exciting.
By providing students with enriching educational experiences, we aim to help them mature intellectually, physically and emotionally; and to develop resilience, think creatively and independently, foster passions and to be empathetic and compassionate toward others.
The values of Christ’s College are at the heart of everything we do as a school and describe the qualities our students and staff value most – tradition, aspiration and success. These values are the foundation for obtaining the academic success we relentlessly pursue.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
School has really helped my son. The teachers seem to have your son's best interests at heart and I can see that they are trying to do their best. Wish the would go cashless for lunch money, however I'm sure that's a work in progress.

I attended this school for seven years, and I count those years as among the best. All the staff were incredibly supportive, going above and beyond their requirements as teachers to become role models, mentors, and some of the most inspiring people I've ever met.
Currently I am at university studying law, with aspirations of later becoming a barrister, and all of this is because of the work of the teachers at CCF. The English department shaped me into the man I am now, Ms.Lepley and Mr.Whitehead especially helping guide me onto a good path (and keep me there) with their encouragement and opening the world of writing and poetry to me, which I am successfully pursuing as a side career.
All the teachers I had during my time were exceptional, not only in their subject but also in how they shape the futures of their pupils.
Mr.Flemming taught me about leadership, bravery in the face of adversity, and introduced me to new sports (kayaking, mountaineering, hiking) which I never would have found by myself.
Mrs.Barnett is the reason I finished my education, without her I would have left without A-Levels and never would have gone on to university, I owe her my future.
Mr.Bratt taught me about our country, how it is run, it's place in the world, and how ideas of what a man is, how a man should act, are not what should guide our actions.
Mr.Payne showed me the value of hard work, that intelligence was not about regurgitating facts but instead about working through problems and learning from your mistakes, while teaching me about a broader range of topics than just chemistry.
Mrs.Terry taught me class, decency, how to be a proper man in a world where that is no longer the norm, while showing me a world of science, along with Mr.Terruli, that I as an English oriented student would not have explored myself.
Mrs.Hostick was the first form tutor I had, back when I thought misogyny was just a joke, and that jokes I made at the expense of others only brought me down in the eyes of those around me. She taught me respect for everyone, regardless of creed or race and for that I am eternally grateful.
There are more examples but right now these are the ones that come to mind, these teachers, these role models, taught me far more than they could have realised, while the school itself gave me lifelong friends and experiences I never would have had.
This school, in the end, made me who I am today. Some of the reception staff I have known since I was six or seven years old and even now when I go back they're the same wonderful people with the same interest in my progress. The school is a diverse family, and if you choose to send your children here you'll be proud of the men they come out as.
I will always be grateful for everything they taught me.

The teachers are often caring and supportive.
There is support for students to pursuit most ambitions they have, eg/Music and Drama.
The Myzone system has always worked well.
Extra learning is offered to students who need it.
The trips supplied have always been good.
There are good systems in place for peoples attendance and to see how they have improved in grades.
