Midfield Primary School

Welcome to Midfield Primary, set in beautiful extensive woodland grounds backing onto Scadbury Park  – a nature reserve and jewel in an urban setting.  We have an envious school site with our own indoor heated swimming pool; a science laboratory; Forest School; gardens; wildlife and pond areas; a full size Celtic Hut; large playgrounds; an outdoor stage and extensive fields. We are passionate about ensuring that all children thrive. We're committed to providing pupils with an exceptional educational experience.

Our school is extremely fortunate to be set within large grounds overlooking Scadbury Wood Nature Reserve; it has its own Celtic hut, multiple forest school areas, an amazing sports field, edible garden, play area and swimming pool! Outdoor learning experiences are often remembered for a lifetime and the opportunities Midfield can provide are like no other

At Midfield we believe that outdoor learning helps children grow into confident and responsible citizens who value and appreciate the natural environment; helping them to make sense of the world around them by putting their learning into a meaningful context. Outdoor Learning is very much embedded and at the heart of our curriculum which embraces creating memorable learning experiences. We encourage resilience and positive attitudes to learning and set high expectations so that pupils can make the best possible progress, achieving their potential.

The arts, physical education, computing, science, the humanities and the development of character are just as important as Maths or English results, and it is through a combination of all areas that Midfield children are enabled to leave our school ready for the challenges and opportunities that await them. We want our children to become critical thinkers, to be resilient and resourceful, and to be able to work together to solve problems, and recognise that it is through the development of a relevant and interesting curriculum that these aims are met.
