Everyone at Holy Trinity School is passionate about offering the very best education we can to our children within a loving and supportive Christian community. We want every person in our school to grow and flourish as we live and learn in the Family of God and be well equipped for the next stage of their education and for making the most of the many opportunities of life.

We are extremely proud of our school and believe that we offer a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment in which to learn. We are a Christian school that works in close partnership with Holy Trinity Church to serve our local community. We are constantly striving to provide the highest quality education for all our children. We are passionate about engaging our children in a broad, challenging and creative curriculum that inspires them to want to learn more and prepares them fully for the challenges and opportunities they will face when they leave us.

At Holy Trinity School:

  • We believe that every person is of immeasurable value and is created uniquely in the image of God and has gifts and talents to share with their community.
  • We want every person to feel welcome, safe and a sense of belonging to our community.
  • We believe that every member of our community should be inspired, challenged and encouraged to grow and develop.
  • We believe that we must learn to love one another and work together being a source of encouragement to one another.

At Holy Trinity School we try to operate a "What if ...?" approach to learning by asking, "What if this lesson were framed by a Christian understanding of life; how would it be different?" This approach permeates all curriculum areas, so for example in Maths children examine some typical contents of a box for Operation Christmas Child and compare them with what they expect to receive. In History they reflect on issues such as freedom and justice when studying different time periods. At Holy Trinity, ethos, curriculum and pedagogy work together and interact. Teaching and learning is not just about delivering the content of Christianity, it is about providing a Christian framework for learning.

Rooted in our Christian faith, we seek to live and learn together in the family of God. We want our children, families, staff and our wider community to grow, flourish and bear much fruit. This is based on Jesus’ teaching in the gospel of John Chapter 15 where he says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.”

Our vision is realised through our community development plan, which seeks to ensure that our school community is continually improving and developing and we grow and learn together in the family of God.

At Holy Trinity C. of E. Primary School, we believe in the concept of lifelong learning, and in the idea that both adults and children learn new things every day. We maintain that learning should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone; in short, it should be fun. Through our teaching, we equip children with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to be able to make informed choices about the important things in their lives. We believe that appropriate teaching and learning experiences help children to lead happy and rewarding lives.

We believe that people learn best in different ways. At our school, we provide a rich and varied learning environment that allows all children to develop their skills and abilities to their full potential.
