We are a rapidly growing maintained secondary special school for pupils aged 11 to 19 with Moderate Learning Disabilities and associated complexities. Our positive learning community incorporates pupils, families, professionals and our dedicated team of experienced staff, who are committed to, and passionate about, the learning and progress of our pupils.

We stream our provision according to pupils' cognitive profiles and from Autumn 2025 we will be a split site school. Our Pathway 1 provision will be moving to Northwood Road and will accommodate 90 pupils in group sizes of up to 10, supported by a minimum of 4 adults, where the curriculum is focused on developing life skills and independence.

Our Pathway 2/3 provision will remain at Royal Lane and will accommodate 300 pupils in group sizes of up to 10, supported by a minimum of 2 adults, where the curriculum is focused on developing the young person's readiness for employment. Should your child be at either of our provisions, we will support and challenge them at an appropriate level, so that they can reach their potential and go on to enjoy meaningful adult lives.

All our pupils have an ECHP which identifies that their cognitive range falls within the MLD range. Pupils are admitted from Year 7 and consultations for places should be made via the London Borough of Hillingdon.

Whether you are a prospective pupil, parent or staff member or an interested SENCO or professional, we would be delighted to meet with you and take you on a tour of our school. We operate group tours once a month. Please contact meadow@meadowhighschool.org or 01895 443310 to arrange an appointment.

At Meadow High School our ethos, vision and aims are underpinned by British Values.  These are are encouraged and taught across the school and particularly in PSHE and RS.

At Meadow High School we offer a programme of activities, clubs, outings, productions and residential trips which are in addition to the National Curriculum, and enrich the educational provision for the pupils who take part.

We also offer a range of clubs which are run at lunchtimes and after school.  These include chess, cricket, dance, drama, football, fitness, games and Butterfly Craft club.  You can find an up to date list of clubs under Our School / School Clubs.

We are fortunate to have several mini-buses which are used to take the pupils on educational trips and visits.  We also run an annual residential trip and make regular use of the Hillingdon Outdoor Activity Centre (HOAC).

It is Meadow High School’s intention to develop attitudes and ways of behaving which respect individuals regardless of their ability, colour, gender or social circumstances.  The school is opposed to any form of discrimination and it seeks to  ensure through a partnership with students, staff, governors, staff and parents that fairness, respect and being valued are important within the school and the community.

Meadow High School is totally opposed to bullying in any of its forms and it will not be tolerated in school. We are committed to provide a caring, friendly and safe environment for all our students so they can learn in a relaxed and secure atmosphere.Parents and families have an important role to play in helping to deal with bullying.

Meadow High School would wish to maintain an ethos that creates positive values. There are in society, generally agreed basic principles of moral behaviour, honesty, concern for others, regard for property and these are all virtues to be encouraged in children. Leading by example we will offer our pupils’ ways to improve,  modify and adapt to what we believe to be right, in light of the developing notions of citizenship.
