West Lodge Primary School

Welcome to West Lodge Primary School - a large, inclusive and diverse school based within the vibrant community of Pinner, North West London. West Lodge Primary School was formed after the amalgamation of West Lodge First School and West Lodge Middle School in 2009 - the first headteacher of the newly formed primary school was Mrs Kim James who laid strong foundations of excellence. We have continued to build on this strong base with a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation.

The staff at West Lodge work tirelessly to provide the best teaching and learning experience for each child. We want our pupils to enjoy coming to school and to be enthusiastic about learning. We nurture and encourage pupils and hopefully, inspire them to be active participants in their own personal development and education.

At West Lodge we have developed a strong learning culture and all members of the community are continually striving to become the very best we can be. Our school is an exciting place to work and learn. We provide a lively, creative curriculum which challenges, inspires and motivates our pupils and enables them to participate in a range of high quality learning opportunities.

This quote embodies our commitment to an ethos of inclusion and high expectations for all. It is a place where children become happy and positive young citizens. Learning to develop a strong sense of self and feel proud of who they are, where they come from and who they want to be.

In 2015 we underwent an expansion, a specialist provision - Kaleidoscope - was built which provides 18 places for pupils on the autistic spectrum, allowing children with autism to experience specialist teaching and facilities within a mainstream setting.

At West Lodge each child finds the spark within them. The light continues to grow igniting the spark in others creating ripples throughout the world. It all starts with understanding and acceptance… Mission is to equip every child with a toolkit for a successful life.

Our West Lodge Core Values were created after input from the West Lodge School Council; all staff groups and governors. This ‘Diamond 9’ forms the core values that embody the ethos of West Lodge.
