Welcome to the St Catherine Catholic Primary School and Nursery website. Our school is a small, diverse and friendly community that has the Gospel values at the heart of all that we do, with faith development and worship central to the experience that our children enjoy. We have the highest of expectations for all pupils, who are supported by a dedicated team of teachers and support staff working in close partnership with parents and parish.

We are committed to ensuring our children live their lives to the full through creative projects, sporting opportunities and a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We are proud of the opportunities we offer our children and the experiences we enable them to have. Our aim is that all you need to know about our school is on our website and that it will help improve communication between home, school and parish. We aim to ensure all information is up to date and useful, we welcome any feedback on how it can be improved.

We seek to work in partnership with our parish, deanery, diocese and other schools in our quest for excellence. We seek to support parents, as the first teachers of their children, to encourage children to make full use of their God given gifts.

We aim to contribute to the 'common good' of the society which we serve and live in. The poor and disadvantaged - in financial, social, academic or spiritual terms - are our primary concern.

We are blessed to serve a diverse multi-cultural, multi-faith school community which we celebrate. On an individual level we expect children to have open minds and to be the unique person God created them to be as we seek to meet their specific needs.

We value a broad, balanced and rich curriculum which prepares pupils for life in the rapidly changing world in which we now live. Children have many opportunities to develop their spiritual, moral, social and cultural skills to enable them to become fully responsible members of society.
