Church of England Primary School is a very happy, high achieving school where we create an exciting and stimulating learning environment which provides our children with confidence, enjoyment, security and success. Our ethos is rooted in our nine Christian values: Faith, Love, Hope, Forgiveness, Trust, Friendship, Respect, Peace and Courage. We accept children for who they are and help and support them to develop their personal confidence, self-esteem and to consistently give of their best. This is achieved by ensuring that they use their skills to as high a level as possible in an atmosphere which encourages them to know themselves and accept each other as individuals.
Our strong and committed staff team, help all children develop lively enquiring minds, good personal relationships and the knowledge and skills to equip them for the future and the ever changing world in which we live. In order to successfully achieve this we encourage self-discipline and tolerance for others. We value the strong partnership we have with parents and work hard to maintain it. We believe that parents are instrumental in their children's development.
We hold a prospective parents' afternoon in November. This is an opportunity for interested parents to listen to a talk from the head teacher and to have a tour of the school conducted by our Year 6 pupils. We very much look forward to working in partnership with you.
The school was built in 1969 at a total cost of £69,000 and opened its doors to children on 3 September 1969. Originally there were only six classrooms and 160 children. By September 1972 the number of pupils had risen to 219 and the seventh classroom was opened. Today, with ten classrooms, the school has 320 children in the main school plus 52 part time children in the Nursery.
Since 1969, All Saints has been at the heart of the community and we continue to be a happy and high achieving school to this day.
Our children learn in an exciting and stimulating environment where all staff members are committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning. We expect these high expectations to be reflected in our pupils and parents and this allows each and every child to reach for and obtain the highest achievements possible, within a safe and Christian environment.
Our ethos is rooted in our nine Christian values: Faith, Love, Hope, Forgiveness, Trust, Friendship, Respect, Peace and Courage. These values, which are shown consistently by staff and children, support us to develop as individuals, becoming more confident and allowing us to celebrate our successes. We show mutual respect and a love of learning in all we do.
Every child is different and has their own talents and skills which we build on in order to prepare them for whatever the future holds, without limits. We value the strong partnership we have with parents and know that with their support our children will develop with confidence, security and success.
We look forward to working in partnership with you and invite you to look at our website to find out more information about our thriving school.
