Located close to Hackbridge Station, our school has been at the heart of our community for over 100 years. Having been a popular three form entry primary school with a maintained nursery for many years, we became a four form entry primary school, with maintained nurseries, on a split site as of autumn 2019.

We aim to work in partnership to enable each child to reach the highest possible standards of learning, whilst encouraging everyone to develop an enthusiasm for life, together with a sense of pride in themselves, our school and our community.

Our ‘Hackbridge Corner’ site has a 52 part-time place nursery - one AM and one PM class (15 hours universal free education) - and three forms of entry (90 pupils) from Reception to Year 6.

Our ‘London Road’ site has a 26 full-time place nursery (30 hours free education (15 hours universal plus 15 hours extended entitlement)) and will eventually house one form of entry (30 pupils) from Reception to Year 6. In 2021/2022, there will be a 30 hour Nursery class, a Reception class, a Year 1 class, a Year 2 class and a Year 3 class on this site as a result of our expansion. The ‘London Road’ site will continue to expand by a year group each year until it is fully one form of entry from Reception to Year 6 by September 2024.

Across both sites, the school is very fortunate to have specialist provisions for ICT, Music, Design & Technology/Art and well-equipped libraries. In addition to these, we also have a specialist Sports Hall at our 'Hackbridge Corner' site and are very excited about the addition of a new playing field on our 'London Road' site. On both sites, we have wonderful pond areas providing an ideal space for science and quiet activities. Our Family Room at 'Hackbridge Corner' provides a venue for a range of family activities, including our Friday morning 'Stay & Play' sessions which are open to pre-school children and their parents/carers in our community.

We are fortunate to be able to offer children the opportunity to access age appropriate play spaces as they move through the school. There are separate playgrounds for each age range.

The Early Years Foundation Stage department of our school consists of three Nursery classes – Caterpillars and Tadpoles (morning and afternoon places - 15 hours) and Honeybees (all day 30 hour places) and four Reception classes – Badgers, Hedgehogs,Squirrels and Moles. Parents must apply to London Borough of Sutton Admissions Department during their child's time in Nursery for a place in our Reception classes. At the end of the Reception year, children move into Key Stage 1. This covers Years 1 and 2; children aged 5 years to 7 years.

At the end of Year 2, children move into Key Stage 2. This covers Years 3 to 6, children aged 7 to 11. At the end of Year 6 children move to a wide range High Schools. Each class in Key Stage 1 and 2 is named after an animal or bird.

During a normal school week, twenty four hours and thirty five minutes are spent on teaching for Reception & Key Stage One, with twenty five hours for Key Stage Two, excluding the daily act of worship and all breaks.

For Reception pupils joining us, the London Borough of Sutton will allocate 120 pupils to the school and then, after the national offer day each year, the school will determine which site each child will attend for that year and advise parents accordingly. We aim for notification letters/emails to be with you within 4 weeks of the national offer day.

Pupils within the school may be educated on either school site each year and not just at the school site which they originally begin at. Pupils at either school site will also access the facilities and resources on either school site during each year e.g. the new school playing field on the ‘London Road’ site or the Sports Hall on our ‘Hackbridge Corner’ site.
