Welcome to Flourish Learning Trust – a thriving, inclusive and successful group of specialist schools and education services which seek to open up the world for children and young people with SEND. Previously known as Whitefield Academy Trust, our new name perfectly encapsulates what we do and how we strive to enable every individual to flourish and succeed.
Our Trust is as much a group of welcoming, inclusive and ambitious specialist schools as it is a collection of excellent and expert professional development and outreach services including two highly successful Project SEARCH internship programmes. Whilst each of our schools (Joseph Clarke School and Whitefield School) and education services have their own distinct identity, they all work closely together to share expertise, research and best practice to support our continuous development and growth. As we welcome new schools into our Trust, we are keen for them to retain their individuality and we aim to work collaboratively to enhance the learning experiences of all our children and young people.
Guided by our Trust Values and Education Charter, we aim to give every single one of our children and young people the tools, skills and confidence to move on to the next stage of their education and lives. We firmly believe that through an enjoyable, high-quality holistic education, children and young people with different abilities can achieve their goals and we are enthusiastic advocates of the valuable and meaningful contribution they can and do make to society.
Across our Trust, we seek to make every day a positive, safe and meaningful learning experience for our children and young people as well as our incredible staff. We do this by providing them with opportunities, through the highest standards of specialist education, care and support, in partnership with the wider community.
Our Values
Our organisational values have been created through a wide range of engagement activities with staff across our Trust. They are integrated into our day-to-day work with our children and young people, stakeholders, all forms of communication, our staff recruitment, induction, performance and professional development.
