Our purpose is to develop children's capacities as responsible, successful and effective young people who are confident in contributing to the ever changing and challenging society we live in. We aim to provide a happy, secure and encouraging environment for your child to grow and develop in. We endeavour to ensure everyone in our school feels valued, included, is aware of their rights and responsibilities and able to respect the rights of others.

At Garrowhill Primary School our school values can be summed up in one word: BRAVE (Belief, Respect, Achieve, Virtue, Equity). We encourage everyone in our school to follow these values. The aim of our website is to enhance and extend our communication as well as showcase our children’s learning and achievements. In addition, we hope that it will offer you a flavour of the range of activities that occur in our school throughout the year.

Situated in Garrowhill, in the east end of Glasgow, Garrowhill Primary Primary currently caters for approx 450 pupils, with 16 classes covering all primary years from Primary 1 to Primary 7 on a co-educational basis. The year groups are as follows: P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7

The school has a capacity to cater for over 500 pupils (parents should note that the operational capacity of the school may vary, dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and on the way classes are organised). The school old school building was opened in 1939 and consisted of a horse shoe shaped main building. In January 2015, we moved to a new state of the art learning facility on the same campus which includes classrooms, library, assembly hall, gym hall, music room, ICT suite and conference room.
The school is a member of the Bannerman Learning Community.
