Ysgol Bro Eirwg

Ysgol Bro Eirwg is a designated Welsh language school which was established in 1981. The school provides education for the children in the East of Cardiff, mainly for children living in the Llanrumney and Rumney areas of the City. The school is a happy and busy community and we work hard to ensure that every child has the opportunity to develop to be a responsible member of society. The team is a strong one, relationships are excellent and all the staff are happy and hard working. The children are well motivated and the parents and governors are very supportive. Education is a partnership between the school and the home and we value the excellent relationship we have with all parents.

Since September 2019 Ysgol Bro Eirwg has been in a federation with Ysgol Pen y Pîl - Ffederasiwn y Ddraig. Both schools work closely together for the benefit of all the children and both school communities.

It is extremely important that we see education as a partnership between the school and the parents at home. Your role is paramount if your child is to get the best out of his / her schooling. You should encourage your child to talk about his/her school work on a daily basis. We cannot emphasise enough the importance of your support in ensuring the best possible education for your child. Our aim is to give your child a happy and positive time in school and hope that this booklet will help you prepare your child.
