Banking University

Banking University was founded in 2006. It was a response to the challenge of time - to create a centralized educational institution, united by a common strategy and tactics in training of highly qualified personnel for financial and credit system of Ukraine.

The University was created on the basis of Lviv Banking Institute and its branch in Kiev. Two institutes that have existed as a part of Sumy Banking Academy in Kharkiv and Cherkasy joined the University. As a result it united four institutes in Kharkiv, Lviv, Cherkasy and Institute of banking technology and business in Kiev that had been working in the educational market since 1940.

BU NBU was established in conformity to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 15, 2006, No. 331-p "Some questions of the ordering the network of higher education institutions" and Resolution of the National Bank of Ukraine dated on July 7, 2006, No. 265 "On reorganization of education institutions of the National Bank of Ukraine".

Banking University is a leader among Ukrainian universities that train future bankers and financiers, economists, entrepreneurs, public administrators. High quality of teaching, a European approach to research activity, modern material-technical base - became a guarantee of 90% of university graduates being employed.

Over the course of its 75-year activity, University has repeatedly received awards and recognition of influential institutions. It is Ukraine's first school of economics of the IV level of accreditation, certified by international standards of quality management system ISO 9001-2008. Students can get a double diploma of higher education of international standard, take practice in powerful banking institutions of Ukraine, Poland, Spain and Latvia.

At the University you can get knowledge according to MBA program and international certification programs, to improve skills and study remotely. The most advanced learning conditions have been created. The University is a member of the largest professional organizations in the world and a full-fledged member of powerful international organizations, such as the Magna Carta of Universities (Bologna, Italy); International Association of Universities under the aegis of UNESCO (Paris, France), the UN Global Compact (New York, USA) and others.
