Avrasya University

Avrasya University which is located in the city of Trabzon is on the Black Sea coast of north-eastern Turkey. Trabzon is a vibrant province of 757.898 and the university serves as one of the hub of academic, social and cultural activity.

Avrasya University was founded in 2010 as the only Foundation in Black Sea Region and Trabzon’s second institution of higher education. With high qualified faculties and educational facilities throughout its campuses, Avrasya University today attracts many high school graduates from different regions of Turkey. The university hosts approximately 8,500 students pursuing degrees in 26 undergraduate 14 graduate and 31 vocational programs. The medium of instruction at Avrasya University is Turkish. Together with English, Russian, Italian, Korean languages are taught in University.

Avrasya University offers a lively cultural and social atmosphere. The 3 campuses are only 5 kilometers from the center of Trabzon, with easy access to the city’s parks, shopping areas, cultural activities, museums, and entertainment venues. In addition, Avrasya’s location in the historic silk road of region allows easy access to other cities. Trabzon has a number of tourist attractions, some of them dating back to the times of the ancient empires that once existed in the region.

We encourage students’ participation in social responsibility projects that contribute to the environment and to society, and motivate them to be responsible citizens.

In addition to offering a model academic environment, Avrasya University provides ideal social, cultural and sports opportunities for students throughout the academic year to enrich student life in Avrasya. The Avrasya Spring Festival, held every May, culminates these events.

The majority of these activities are organized by the Student Council, which is elected by the students. Groups and clubs established with the support of the Council regularly organize talks, panels, concerts, exhibitions, competitions, parties, and festivals, and host numerous renowned politicians, business people, artists, and scientists.
