More and more parents want to give their children the opportunity to become truly bilingual and to embrace our globalized world. Our English Immersion Programme is designed to start your child on their journey to a bilingual life with all the joys that this will bring. Our goal is to foster the early childhood developmental milestones and to build your child’s love for learning while becoming fluent in another language!

Nursery school children are the perfect age to begin learning a second language. Studies have shown that children who learn a second language during the preschool years go on to speak more fluently than those who begin to learn at an older age. In addition, bilingual children tend to be more creative, have better critical thinking skills and a better understanding of humanity and culture. One of the reasons young children learn a new language so easily is because they learn through exploration and play.

BAPS has four different age groups: Toddlers (age 2 to 3), Nursery (age 3 to 4), Transition (age 4-5) and Reception (age 5-6). Each group includes an age-specific curriculum that meets the needs of the children. The first three age groups follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) and the Reception class follows the Key Stage 1 of the British Curriculum.

Our Early Years teaching team includes highly qualified English mother tongue teachers and specialists for art, music and psychodynamic play. Technology helps to document the children’s learning and facilitates parent communication. It is our priority to build a strong partnership with parents/carers. Our spacious classrooms are full of stimulating resources that provide rich learning opportunities.

BAPS has a large outside garden area. Children’s outside learning is enhanced by an environment that is richly resourced withy exciting play materials and open-ended flexible resources that can be used in different ways according to the needs and interest of individual children. Starting in September 2018, students at BAPS will be doing much more of their learning outside. Our Early Years Center is preparing to unveil a new outdoor learning space. Teachers in the Early Years team are highly qualified and native English speakers or equivalent. Art, music and psychomotor activities are carried out by specialist teachers. With the support of technology, we document children's learning journey and maintain constant communication with parents. One of our priorities is to build a strong partnership with families.
