Montessori Oman Private School

Montessori Oman Private School was established in 1994. We are a private bilingual Montessori kindergarten and nursery aiming to provide an individualised education in a happy and secure environment for children aged 2-5.5 years.

Montessori education seeks to develop each unique child to their fullest potential. Montessori Oman fosters excellence by encouraging each child's initiative and promoting independence and self-motivation.

​We believe that the most important time in a person's development is between birth and the age of six. Through a carefully prepared environment, and the guidance of a well-trained teacher, children are introduced to the joy of life long learning with confidence.

Montessori Oman accepts children aged 2 to 5.5 years. Our classrooms are prepared for multi-age groupings. These groupings operate very like family environments, providing key learning and development opportunities. The multi-age grouping method gives the opportunity to experience different roles; being the oldest and the youngest, as it stimulates a sense of caring and responsibility among the class.

Communication is key between parents and the school. Our school management system illumine allows parents to directly communicate with teachers and administration. The platform includes pictures and videos of your child, weekly journals with your child progress and tuition details.

Montessori materials are specifically designed to engage children's senses and foster a deep understanding of concepts through hands-on experiences. These materials are carefully crafted to isolate specific skills, allowing children to focus on one concept at a time.

They are also self-correcting, which means children can independently identify and learn from their mistakes. The materials are organized in a prepared environment that encourages exploration, discovery, and a love of learning.

Each material serves a specific purpose, whether it's developing fine motor skills, introducing mathematical concepts, or exploring the world around them.

They are made from natural materials like wood and are aesthetically pleasing, encouraging children to interact with them.
