Welcome to De La Salle College - Amman which is aimed to reflect a true picture of all our facilities and be a useful tool of communication. The world has become a small village, thanks to the modern means of communication that have brought us closer.
We, at La Salle Amman, are committed to our values, customs, traditions and social heritage, which we uphold and defend, but we are open to all as transparently as possible. We believe in pluralism, and we reject extremism and seclusion; we encourage dialogue; we listen to all opinions, and we do not condemn. We are attached to our past, which we are proud of, but open to the present and look forward optimistically to the future.
De La Salle College-Amman, the first school of its kind in Jordan, will thrive and continue in the light of St. John Baptist De La Salle educational visions. We seek to serve students who seek high-quality education. We will foster an environment that promotes the academic, spiritual and emotional growth of each student. We aim to support our students to become caring young people who are knowledgeable and inquiring. We believe that our unity is in our diversity, and that this diversity will help in creating a more peaceful world which is built on respect and intercultural understanding.
La Salle Amman aims to empower its students to become principled life-long learners who are able to embrace their diversity, and at the same time be proud of their own identity and reach their full potential.
La Salle Amman, therefore, prepares its students to be knowledgeable, open-minded inquirers who are able to cope with and understand other cultures to serve Jordan and the world community preserving their Arab culture and heritage.
Childhood forms a stage in building the individual personality and the formation of his/her self and social identity. Therefore, the nature of education and social development, the children receive, draws the features of the citizen of tomorrow. So we establish the preschool section in 2014 for kids from 2 to 4 years old , which is the basic stage before the kindergarten stage and to be prepared for it .That will be through the achievement of the following goals which presenting our missions:
Here in the kindergarten of de La Salle we believe in the integration of both the academics and the personality of the child by using hands – on methods and spontaneous learning. In order to develop the child's senses and to encourage him/her to communicate freely in an educational environment, we provide activities and games rich in culture and ethics.
Our curriculum aims to also develop the intellectual and analytic skills of the child by discovering his/her abilities, personality and interests: and by aiding the child in exercising his/her motor skills and manual and mental operations.
Depending on our school vision which is creating a dynamic and creative community through our La Sallians’ Principles. The lower Primary School adapts the policy of creating an educational atmosphere that promotes mutual work and respect for each student.
Also committed to providing an academic education quality that follows the times through the National and International Programs starting from the elementary stages.
In Primary School we believe in educating our students to have a creative imagination which is the key to producing healthy, productive and successful lifelong learners. Students who are trained with skills that opens them up to change. As the world changes so rapidly, we focus on a creative generation who is able to adapt, thrive and drive.
We aim to empower our students to produce novel and useful ideas to open-ended needs and opportunities. We aim to provide the highest standard of teaching and learning, pastoral care and curricular and extra - curricular experience. We aim to attain each child’s full potential in terms of physical, emotional, social and intellectual development. We aim to enhance certain skills that prepare children for learning and for life. These skills include independent enquiry, team work and effective participation, reflection, creativity, and self-management. We aim to encourage our children to use their minds well, to understand that with privilege comes responsibility.
The Lower Secondary School is an educational, dynamic and creative society led by La Sallian Principles. This section offers each individual a special attention and responds to its students' varied needs. We, in the Lower Secondary School, believe in the importance of creating a healthy educational environment which pampers excellence throughout shared support, accepting diversity and addressing different cultures and needs.
In order to achieve its vision, work has been done on the application of the national scientific curriculum which qualifies the student to join all the universities inside and outside the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Foreign curricula such as the British curriculum and the International Baccalaureate, are applied at all levels. We believe that the students have the right to have multiple options that meet their needs, ambition and innovation (creativity).
