Beginning with 2 teachers and 29 students in 1980, we now cover two campuses in Charnwood and Lyneham with 700 children and young people currently enrolled. Our students are taught to pursue a life of wisdom, integrity, service and excellence in and through Christian Education.
Preparing young people in a rapidly evolving world which can be volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous, demands that the significant adults in a young person’s life lead and learn alongside them with purpose, compassion and humility – that they know our young people well, that they love them well and teach them well.
The Vision of Brindabella Christian College is to advance a community of Wisdom, Integrity, Service and Excellence in and through Christian Education. By the end of each stage at the College (ELC, Junior School, Middle School & Senior School), it is our hope and intention that students will be able to demonstrate understanding and action of wisdom, integrity, service and excellence as indicated in the following statements: Understanding – God made everything, and He made us (Genesis 1:26 & Genesis 2:15).
BCC Early Learning Centres are an important part of Brindabella Christian College. The College is excited to be able to offer, what we believe is, an excellent service that provides families and children with a proactive and professional educational environment.
The Early Learning Centre operates between 7.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday 50 weeks of each year. The Centre is closed on Public holidays and for two weeks over Christmas.
The Lyneham ELC welcomes children between the ages of three and six.The fees include all meals (morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon tea) and weekly music and art lessons. BCC is only able to offer full day rates, however children are not required to attend for the full day if this does not suit the family.
The Junior School classes are situated in the Trixie Rudder building which was built in 1996 and named in honour of one of the foundation teachers of the College. The classrooms are well equipped with individual iPads, electronic whiteboards and wi-fi.
We currently have over 240 students from Kindergarten to Year 4, who explore their God given gifts to reach for their full potential. Junior School staff are committed Christians who value each student as a precious gift from God and aim to develop their gifts and abilities through a caring and Christ-centred learning environment.
At Brindabella Christian College, young people aged 10 to 14 years of age are educated in a slightly different format. Maintaining a high standard of pursuits in the academic, sport and performing arts streams, and basing our work and life on a Christian foundation, each class has a clearly defined pastoral teacher who is responsible for the oversight of each child. Young people thrive when they are safe and valued in their surroundings. The middle years of learning and growing are crucial in establishing good work habits and a resilient character. Research supports a changed approach to the traditional Upper Primary/Lower Secondary age bracket and I am proud of the many wonderful achievements of Middle School at Brindabella Christian College. We have recently developed a greater level of collaborative learning and teaching, joining two classes and two teachers together in one bigger learning space. This more flexible model has proven to develop student engagement in the learning process.
It is our prayer that the gifts and talents of each Middle School student at BCC are identified and encouraged as they respond to the invitation of Jesus to be his friend, and that each one begins to understand the truth of Galatians 6:9, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up”.

We are committed to providing a strong and innovative learning framework within a safe and supportive Christian environment.
