Welcome to the Sha Tin College website where we hope to offer you an insight into life on the Sha Tin College campus. We are very much an inclusive community where we value and nurture effective and productive relationships between students, parents and teachers. The diversity of our community is something we value and celebrate where each member of our community can find a place where they can be themselves.
The first thing that strikes most visitors to the College is our warm, welcoming and vibrant learning environment and culture. There is also a palpable energy and sense of purpose as well as a strong work ethic, exemplified by staff and students alike. Our students are serious about their learning and our teachers and staff nurture, guide and support them every step of the way.
Our exceptional examination results speak for themselves and highlight our commitment to academic achievement and success for each individual student. That alone however is only one part of what we value at Sha Tin College in ensuring our students are well-educated and prepared for life beyond school. With numerous extra-curricular activities and opportunities on offer students are encouraged to get involved and engage with a wide range of experiences. We especially focus on building self-awareness, self-esteem and leadership skills in our students and encourage them to lead active healthy lives.
Our culture of community is most evident in our House system. All students and staff are members of one of our four Houses: Dragon, Griffin, Pegasus and Phoenix. The Houses are run by senior school student leaders and focus on a variety of activities, events, charities and competitions throughout the academic year. There is an equal measure of healthy rivalry between the Houses and students supporting each other, which all culminates in the award of House trophies at the end of year.
Our Sha Tin College mission statement says it all. “Ours is a culture where we take responsibility for fulfilling our own potential and that of others for the good of humanity” – a laudable goal for sure but one we strive for every day!

At this school, the combination of innovative teaching methods and dedicated staff has truly transformed my child's learning experience, allowing them to excel academically and grow personally.

overall amazing school, the teachers are very nice and encouraging, especially the PE teachers. food is great and is diverse for vegetarians and others. although the school is quite high up a mountain and pretty isolated, it still is a great community to join and would definitely recommend for students already attending SJS.
