Qatar Academy Msheireb

Established in 2014, Qatar Academy Msheireb, a member of Qatar Foundation operating under Pre-University Education, is a state-of-the-art Early Years and Primary School authorized for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, and a Council of International Schools member.

Qatar Academy Msheireb’s mission is to create an effective learning environment to develop internationally minded and empathetic lifelong learners through a dual-language program emphasizing inquiry-based practices.

Everything has a purpose, and learning is relevant to the ‘real world’ within a dual-language curriculum that is structured to be rigorous, stimulating and challenging. The Program of Inquiry centers around ‘big ideas’ and provides students with opportunities of learning about issues that have local, national and global significance, and hence nurtures an understanding of human commonalities. The transdisciplinary nature of the themes ensures that learning transcends the confines of traditional subject areas, and facilitates student connections between life in school, life at home and life in the world.

Qatar Academy Msheireb offers an inclusive education where students evolve as individuals who are self-motivated, creative and can think, question and reason logically, i.e., individuals who are independent, confident and capable of making decisions.

All students are encouraged to be curious about what they are learning, and differentiation allows them to demonstrate what they have learned by using a variety of mediums or tools at different levels that are appropriate to individual needs.
