We are a school community that nurtures the whole child and seeks to provide an environment where students are inspired and encouraged to grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, creatively, physically and cognitively. Students thrive in a safe and caring environment and at St Andrews Christian College where all our students are known, we partner with parents to support and nurture our children to become the young men and women God intends them to be.
It is our desire that our students become leaders in our society; citizens who influence others rather than following and being influenced by the changing values and expectations of the world around them. We help students to discover their purpose in this world and offer an education rich in hope and purpose that delivers more than just good results.
Our mission is to educate our students so that they are well skilled, understand life on the basis of biblical truth, and are motivated to walk with God and serve Him in their lives, so that they will be a positive Christian influence in the world.
Our purpose is to honour and glorify God in all we do at St Andrews Christian College. We do this through:
The aim of the junior years at St Andrews Christian College is to provide a safe, caring environment where students can grow in an understanding of God. Our desire is to equip students with an awareness of who they are in God, and the abilities and gifts they have been given. With this as our foundation, we create an encouraging and challenging learning program that is aimed at catering for different learning abilities. We endeavour to teach students to grow in their ability to learn from a young age, with a focus on teaching thinking skills and the development of positive learning habits. The importance of teaching the students resilience, reasoning and to be reflective is incorporated into our curriculum.
At Middle School, our desire is to foster a community where Christ-like character is modelled and cherished in a supportive and caring environment. Students are encouraged to enhance their God given gifts and talents and apply these to their learning. Our programs focus on developing sound character which enables our students to serve God and positively impact our community.
Senior school at St Andrews Christian College involves students from Year 9 to the end of secondary schooling in Year 12. These years are characterised by an increasing awareness of the future and preparation for life after school. We aim to continue the excellent academic learning from our Junior and Middle schools and help students mature towards the future plans that God has in store for them.
Students from Years 9 to 12 develop lasting friendships with other students and staff members through shared endeavours, mission and service opportunities, sports, camps and other co-curricular activities. The role of senior students in the school community is strategic, and their leadership and loyalty is highly valued to contribute to the community life.
