Trinity Valley was founded in 1959, Trinity Valley School has four main objectives for its students: fine scholarship with its fulfillment at college; the development of wide, constructive interests; intelligent citizenship; and spiritual and moral development which promotes lasting values.

Trinity Valley School seeks students of above-average to superior ability who will contribute to the diversity of the student body and enrich the environment of the school community. New students are accepted from kindergarten through 12th grade.

At Trinity Valley we encourage intellectual curiosity because we believe that the recognition of quality is more important than the accumulation of facts. The school seeks to develop mastery of ideas, as well as cleverness, and a capacity for understanding as well as for learning. TVS is devoted to building a foundation for a lifetime love of learning. Trinity Valley School supports, encourages, and fosters that gift in each child. At TVS, we believe our students are our future and our most precious resource.

The Trinity Valley academic program provides an environment that supports and nurtures a love of learning. The liberal arts are the foundation of a Trinity Valley School education. The ultimate goal is for our students to be able to anticipate and respond effectively to the uncertainties of a rapidly changing technological, social, political, and economic world. To prepare our students for life, we understand that they need a well-developed set of skills and knowledge that allows them to be productive global citizens in the world they will help shape.

The curriculum is designed for students to assume greater responsibility for exploring topics independently. These experiences promote growth in how to form questions, research, make judgments, and solve problems, thereby establishing a foundation of expanded intellectual curiosity and interest in learning. At Trinity Valley School, we believe that what happens outside of the classroom can be just as important as what goes on in the traditional academic setting. Consequently, there are myriad opportunities for students to become immersed in the life of the school in so many ways. Of note:

  • Our students are involved in dozens of community service opportunities throughout the Fort Worth and community and beyond, in addition to playing on any number of the seventy athletic teams at TVS.
  • Students perform, built and design the set, or work the lights in any number of our theater performances, kindergarten through grade twelve.
  • They participate in any number of trips through the Trojan Outdoor Experience and/or the Global Initiatives program
  • They may join any one of the forty clubs in the upper school or they may decide to create and form their own, with the help of a faculty sponsor
  • Student government is an integral part of school life and many students thrive through this engagement
  • Students also serve as tour guides and admission hosts and are an integral part of our admissions process

There are countless ways to improve student learning. TVS makes a commitment to an international education as part of its curriculum to give students multiple opportunities to interact and collaborate with people from around the world. Students think critically about world events and discuss these reflections and experiences with each other and with people abroad. We believe that these cross-cultural contacts will help our students become better problem-solvers and communicators, and they will understand why it is essential to treat all humans with dignity. These traits will help them become conscientious leaders now and in the future.

Engaged learners need to enjoy what they are studying. The Global Education Program takes advantage of this generation’s penchant for connectivity and technology to promote multi-cultural interactions. Innovative learning strategies such as live online discussions, international video exchanges, and blogging excite our students about the future and show them how they can be respectful, open-minded leaders online and in their communities. This Program is part of the overall TVS Mission to offer cognitive and experiential learning experiences that will prepare our students for college, the work force, and daily life in an ever-changing, tightly connected world.
