Our school is an inspiring and innovative place, where the of our school community - staff, pupils, parents and community work together to create a strong community unit committed to giving our children the best possible start in life.

All staff and governors in Nant-y-Parc hope that your child’s experience in primary school is exciting and fun. We will always endeavour to teach a range of basic skills and values that establish a firm foundation for your child to become a life-long learner. The school is committed to providing the best educational experiences within a values-rich environment with good adult role models who will encourage and motivate your child to reach their full potential. The school is committed to ensure the best teaching and learning experiences across the curriculum. We ask all parents to support their child’s learning and establish positive relationships with school.

We use the Family Values Scheme, a scheme based around a set of 12 values. Each month a different value such as respect or co-operation is chosen for endorsement. The 12 chosen values are made up into monthly packs which encourage parents or families to participate in a series of fun tasks and challenges which they plan and carry out together within the flexibility of their own home. The winning family of the pack receives a family ticket to the cinema.
