Brynaman Primary School

The school is an important part of the community and the village, and we hope that every child will realise this and will grow to become an important member of the community and to respect the environment. First and foremost, whilst in attendance, every child should be happy because a child who enjoys being in school will gain maximum benefit from his/her primary education.

Education has many long term objectives and we seek to foster good relationships between children, staff and parents in order for these objectives to be achieved. We have the welfare of each pupil at heart the whole time and that we are anxious to work with you as parents to provide an excellent primary education for your child in a happy atmosphere. The school exists to help the children to develop skills and knowledge necessary to become useful, caring members of an everchanging society. We hope to achieve this within a happy, stable, safe environment which encourages progression within the various stages of childhood.

At our school we hope to provide a caring environment for your child. We endeavour to provide a wide range of balanced learning opportunities for all children to help them grow into independent and responsible people.

• The development of language in all its various forms so that it becomes a purposeful and meaningful means of communication. This will include listening, speaking, reading, writing and literature appreciation.
• An awareness and appreciation of the child’s locality, language, culture, traditions and physical environment.
• The encouragement of self-expression through music, mime, drama, art, technology and physical education.
• The awareness of the need for personal hygiene, good manners and courtesy. The encouragement of safe practices in the school, home and community.
