Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur is the leading private university of Rajasthan established by Rajasthan State Assembly Act 11/2012 and sponsored by Bagaria Education Trust, Jaipur. The University is currently headed by Dr. Adarsh Kishore, Ex-Finance Secretary, GOI and Chairman Axis Bank Ltd, Prof. (Dr.) M. Raisinghani, Former Director, MNIT Jaipur and Prof. Y.K. Vijay, a leading researcher as President (Vice Chancellor) of the University. The University is offering courses in the field of Engineering, Architecture, Basic and Applied Science, Management, Law and Agriculture.

The University focuses on Research, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Placements.This is being done with the help of various collaborations with International universities such as Swansea University, Edinburgh Napier University and research labs such as CEERI Pilani, CSIO Chandigarh, companies such as Infosys, TCS & Accenture. The University has Wadhwani Centre of Excellence i.e. Incubation Centre in collaboration with NEN and Headstart Network

VGU is committed to the Skill Development Mission and focuses on skill and professional development of its graduates through 19 student run clubs, soft skills, campus recruitment and technical skill societies. Professional chapters such as IEEE, ISTE, Toastmasters are the part of the student life.

Academic Objectives:

• To pursue any other objective as may be approved by the State Government.
• To provide instruction, teaching, training and research in specialized fields of Finance and Management including financial analysis, banking, insurance, financial services, financial management, general management, various branches of Technology and related subjects and make provisions for research, advancement and dissemination of knowledge therein.
• To collaborate with any other college or university, research institution, industry association, professional association or any other organization in India or overseas to conceptualize, design and develop specific educational and research programs, training programs and exchange programs for students, faculty members and others.
• To ensure that the standard of the degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions are not lower than those laid down by AICTE/NCTE/ UGC/MCI and Pharmacy Council etc.
